The Historic Maryborough Courthouse would have to be one of the most renown courthouses throughout Queensland. Spending hundreds of hours in and around this Maryborough building over the last decade, you come to appreciate the beauty of the magnificent design and architecture adopted in the construction process in the 1870s.

The building itself is perched high in the Richmond street corner of Maryborough’s Queens Park. From the upstairs floors, it boasts panoramic views across Queens Park but also of Maryborough’s famous Mary River looking down across what was McAllister street, now Mary River Parklands.

Historically, both this building and the Maryborough Government Offices which are located adjacent to it are considered integral parts to the Maryborough heritage precinct and harmonise well aesthetically. They are admired by visitors to Maryborough and locals alike. Both Maryborough buildings have had undergone significant renovation works over the last 10 years to get them to the condition they are both in today.
