This year in 2024, John Willett Lawyers sponsored the team number 9 Angel Families Dunga Derby car. Pilots Alicia and Cathy set off on Wednesday morning from Hervey Bay on an epic 5 day adventure to an unknown destination in Queensland. This mighty Mazda 121 was the smallest car in the Hervey Bay fleet but was well prepared with a series of modifications such as underbody armour, a dual rear wheel carrier, roof rack and even a snorkel for deep water crossings.

Together, Alicia and Cathy who are based in Hervey Bay and Maryborough and have raised a massive $15,000.00 for the 2024 Dunga Derby Fraser Coast. All up, the teams have raised over $700,000.00 this year which will go to supporting local families and individuals affected by life-limiting medical conditions or who have had their lives disrupted by circumstances beyond their control.

Prior to their departure from Hervey Bay this week, we installed our sticker on the bonnet of the fully loaded 121. This is a great cause and one which we consider ourselves very lucky to play a small part in. We cant wait to see Alicia & Cathy cross the finish line back in Hervey Bay.
