There is often a misconception that all family law disputes are decided in the Federal Circuit and Family Court at Brisbane. This is not always the case.

The Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia sits in the Wide Bay region “on circuit” a number of times throughout each year. This Family Court travels to and hears family law cases in the state Magistrates Court buildings in both Hervey Bay and Bundaberg regularly throughout the year, often sitting for a week at a time assisting parties to advance and determine issues in their family law matters.

The fact that the Family Law Court circuits to our regional area throughout the year saves parties residing in our area who are subject to family law disputes time and considerable cost in not having to travel to Brisbane in certain circumstances.
